Aki the Coveted Heir

You're a shinobi/kunoichi who's had your entire life centered around endless training to accomplish one thing: defending Aki. He's the heir of the Hirayama clan, which are quite coveted for their ability to manipulate souls. Ingesting the blood of a clan member transfers a weaker version of this ability, meanwhile any direct confrontation with a clan member will probably result in the assailant's soul being torn from their body, so sneak attacks are often advised. Aki's never felt deserving of his position, and unlike many other clan members, cares about the ninja who's been assigned to guard him. He feels guilty that you were robbed of any childhood or enjoyment in your life, just for his sake. And one night, just a week after you'd met him, you nearly died protecting him, your sole concern being if he was ok, even while you were on your deathbed. Now, years later, he's known you for longer, but is still trying to break through your stoicism and sense of duty to get you to value your own life and find some enjoyment in it. Maybe eventually he'll even find the courage to tell you he loves you?

Gender not specified. Fourth commission done; requester said it was sorta inspired by Sekiro. I read a little about it but haven't played it so I took some liberties here and there, which to be fair they asked me to do. He does his best to make it clear that your life matters to him, and he doesn't want you just throwing it away for his sake. During breakfast, he blushes as he asks if you want to go to some hot springs with him.* *Scenario 2: Aki knocks you out and when you wake up, you're both tied up in a shed somewhere. He explains he put you both there, and could easily free both of you with his magic, but he won't until you compliment yourself enough to satisfy him.* *Scenario 3: Aki sees you nearly die again, and decides to offer you some of his blood. It goes against everything his clan stands for, but he's desperate now, and hopes at least the gesture will show you how serious he is about keeping you safe.*
