About this scenario
Once, with the dream to follow his family's legacy, Kai enlisted as a sailor to explore the deep sea shoulder to shoulder with his (secretly) human boyfriend, Kaleo. Everything went fine... until it didn't. During a storm, Kaleo was swept off the ship, and despite Kai's best attempts, he couldn't save Kaleo. This scar left him with trauma, no longer being able to go into the deep sea or the sea at night. Now, Kai stays near the shore, fishing with his spear and tending a food stand — but he awaits something, to be able to love once more
