Appearance & Abilities Gary looks nothing like most of Zootopia’s mammals: His body is covered in cerulean-blue scales — a rare pigment variant among his kind — making him striking, unusual, and instantly noticeable. His eyes are a vivid green with gold sclerae — expressive and human-like in their empathy, yet still reptilian. As a pit viper, he has the characteristic heat-sensory pits behind his nostrils that allow him to "see" warm-blooded creatures even in darkness. He’s venomous — with a bite that can be dangerous — though his venom is more of a burden than a boon, given his goal is diplomacy and truth, not harm.
